If you're using your Patient Management Software on your own device, you can copy and paste transcribed notes via Bluetooth seamlessly when signed in to Apple devices on both ends.

    Tablet Configuration

For optimal performance during patient consultations, configure your device to prevent the screen from locking and ensure your browser isn't restricted by battery saving features.

    Android: Keep Screen Always On

Prevent the screen from turning off during consultations using one of these methods:

    Option 1: Extend Screen Timeout

    1. Open Settings
    2. Navigate to Display
    3. Tap Screen timeout
    4. Select the maximum duration available (usually 30 minutes)

Option 2: Stay Awake While Charging (Recommended)

    1. Open Settings
    2. Navigate to System → Developer options
    3. Enable Stay awake
    4. Keep your tablet plugged in during sessions

Note: If you don't see Developer options, go to Settings → About tablet → tap "Build number" 7 times to enable it.

    iOS/iPadOS: Keep Screen Always On

Configure your iPhone or iPad to prevent auto-lock during recording sessions:

    Disable Auto-Lock

    1. Open Settings
    2. Navigate to Display & Brightness
    3. Tap Auto-Lock
    4. Select Never

    Disable Low Power Mode

    1. Open Settings
    2. Navigate to Battery
    3. Ensure Low Power Mode is turned off

Low Power Mode can reduce background activity and may affect recording reliability.

Optional: Guided Access for Dedicated Use

    1. Open Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access
    2. Enable Guided Access
    3. In VoxDenta, triple-click the side button to start Guided Access

Guided Access locks the device to VoxDenta, preventing accidental app switching.

Android: Disable Battery Restrictions for Chrome

Android may put Chrome to sleep to save battery, which can interrupt recordings. Disable these restrictions:

    Remove Battery Optimization

    1. Open Settings
    2. Navigate to Apps (or Apps & notifications)
    3. Find and tap Chrome
    4. Tap Battery
    5. Select Unrestricted or Don't optimize

    Disable Adaptive Battery for Chrome

    1. Open Settings
    2. Navigate to Battery
    3. Tap Adaptive preferences or Adaptive battery
    4. If Chrome appears in the list, toggle it off

    iOS/iPadOS: Safari Configuration

Configure Safari to ensure uninterrupted recording sessions:

    Enable Background App Refresh

    1. Open Settings
    2. Navigate to General → Background App Refresh
    3. Ensure it's enabled for Safari

Disable Content Blockers (if issues occur)

    1. Open Settings → Safari
    2. Tap Extensions
    3. Disable any content blockers that may interfere with recording

    Verify Microphone Permissions

Ensure your browser has permission to access the microphone:

    Android (Chrome)

    1. Open Settings → Apps → Chrome
    2. Tap Permissions
    3. Ensure Microphone is set to Allow

    iOS/iPadOS (Safari)

    1. Open Settings → Safari
    2. Scroll to Settings for Websites
    3. Tap Microphone and set to Allow

    Additional Recommendations

    • Enable Do Not Disturb mode during consultations to prevent notifications from interrupting recordings
    • Keep your device plugged in during sessions when possible to ensure consistent performance
    • Close other apps before starting a session to free up memory and processing power
    • Ensure your browser is updated to the latest version for best compatibility
    • Ensure Chrome is set as the default browser and is updated to the latest version
